Our Statement of Faith
Christ Community Presbyterian Church is a diverse group of Christians gathering to worship God and love
one another; and going to make disciples and serve our communities.
We believe, with all Christians everywhere and throughout the ages, in God the Father, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, our Lord; and in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life.
We believe that Christ has founded one, holy (set apart to demonstrate grace and truth), catholic (world-wide), and apostolic (grounded in the Scriptures) Church; and that in this Church we find "the communion of the saints," a spiritual home and family in this present, passing age.
Finally, because of who God is and what He has done, we believe (as the ancient Apostles' Creed continues) in the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
As one early believer cried out to Jesus, "I believe; help my unbelief!" Of the branches of the historic Christian Church, we are a Presbyterian Church, with our roots going back to the Old Testament and New Testament people of God, and our distinctives taking shape through the Protestant Reformation. We are a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). The PCA has over 80 different regional "Presbyteries;" as such we are in close connection with more than 30 sister congregations in the Southern New England Presbytery, and with our sister church in West Hartford, New England Grace PCA, a Korean-language congregation in our denomination.
Our vision is that we would see, by God's grace, our church, communities, and world awakened to the light of Christ, and more and more conformed to His likeness.
